Based on the Technology Definition phase recommendations, technology-focused market research is conducted to determine the commercialization potential of your company’s technology, and where necessary, recommend product modifications as dictated by the market research which may consist of any or all of the following:

  • Development of reasonable alternative solutions to your company’s technology problem(s), which may lead to:
  • Development of strategies to access targeted customers and markets.
  • Recommendations for modification of the technology in order to facilitate market access.
  • Limited technical assistance using the university’s expertise in technical management, applied sciences, information technology and electrical, materials and mechanical engineering to accurately assess your company’s competitive position.

New Mexico Tech’s Department of Management will manage these projects, undertaken by faculty, upper division undergraduate and graduate students. The university is committed to providing students with a hands-on applied research experience that supports the state’s economic development efforts.
